Aug 5, 2021 · I own an XF 18-55 lens and I'm happy with it, the lens is great for its price and definitely this is the best "kit" zoom (!) lens I've ever meet. Though it has its own weaknesses, esp. for video purposes. I've compared the three alternatives for an all-purpose zoom: 18-55, 16-55/2.8 and 16-80/4. 16-55 seems to be the best for IQ but it is

The xf 16-55 is an older design and disappointingly doesn't include an OIS despite its full frame level size (engineers couldn't fit it in). The xf 16-80 f4 also uses similar optical formula which is something to consider, similar MTF performance. For travel use, size becomes more of a priority. Apr 30, 2020 · In reviews the 18-135 scores slightly lower than the 18-55 (in terms of sharpness), but in daily life I can’t see the difference. Images are sharp and have nice colors and contrast. Of course the 18-135mm is bigger and heavier, but offers a longer range and is WR.
May 14, 2020 · Similar to the question about the 18-55 vs the 18-135, I'm wondering about whether it would be worth upgrading from 18-135 to the 16-80. I do enjoy the convenience of one zoom lens while hiking and traveling. The constant f/4 would be nice, although they both seem to share problems with corner softness.
Oct 18, 2019 · Fuji 16-55 Vs 16-80 compared. Oct 18, 2019. I have been mainly a prime shooter with Fuji, recently decided to invest in a wide-medium zoom. When the 16-80 was announced it was perfect for what I needed, light, WR, OIS, range, weight and size. Ideal for 90% of my photography needs from landscapes to portraiture. Perfect on paper at least.
